Hi there, and welcome!

I’m Anait Semirdzhyan (A-na-Ït Se-mir-jian), an illustrator with a love for creating whimsical worlds in children’s books—and one day, I’ll write my own!

Born in Kazakhstan and raised in Armenia, I’ve landed in the rainy-but-lovely Seattle area, where I live with my husband and twin daughters. Though I studied Economics (long story!), art has always been my happy place. Now, I get to draw every day, bringing stories to life as a proud member of The CAT Agency family, represented by Christy Ewers.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of collaborating with incredible publishers like HarperCollins, Candlewick Press, Highlights, Charlesbridge, Tilbury House, and others—and the list keeps growing!
